We place children from the ages of newborn to 15 years. Although the most frequent request is for infants under one year of age, we are committed to finding loving, permanent homes for older and special needs children as well. Sibling groups are available. Some of our families may adopt two or more unrelated children and thus create their own "sibling group". RUSSIA
There are over 900 state-run orphanages in Russia and thousands of children are available for adoption at all times. The number of children adopted from these orphanages in any year is a nominal amount of the children available for adoption, so many of these children will never have an opportunity to have a “forever family.” We work in between 15 – 20 different regions in Russia and our coordinators are constantly trying to open programs in new regions.
The children of Russia are generally Caucasian and may have dark or light skin and hair, with blue, green or brown eyes, and they are available in all ages and sexes. There also are children available of Gypsy or Asian heritage.
These beautiful children would love to come home to a loving family. These children are living in orphanages which are clean but very poor, and are cared for by a staff that will do the best they possibly can for these children with the limited resources available to them. The staffs of the orphanages really put their hearts into the care of the children.
ETHIOPIA
The children are African with dark hair and eyes. Both boys and girls are available ranging in age from a few months old to older children. Once a referral is accepted, the children will move into a private foster care home run by our facilitator.
CHINA
The children of China are Asian, with dark hair and dark brown eyes. Both boys and girls are available for adoption starting at 8 months of age and up at the time of the referral. These beautiful children would love to come home to a loving family. The children of Russia, China and Ethiopia are available for international adoption through four avenues: (1) voluntary relinquishment of parental rights, (2) the termination of parental rights by the courts, (3) abandonment, and (4) if a child is orphaned and has no relatives to care for him or her. Russian law provides a preference for the children to remain in their country and be adopted by a Russian family. The children of Russia are listed on public registries for between five and eight months to be reviewed by prospective Russian adoptive families, and if the child is not adopted by a Russian couple during this period, the child is then available for international adoption.
