Russia Wait Times Have Decreased!
Our wait times have dropped significantly and most of our families are experiencing very short waits for referrals! We are looking for good families who are ready to adopt from Russia and are prepared to travel quickly!
Grant Funds are Available for Children Over 5 as well as such Needs as Cleft Palate, Minor Heart Conditions, etc.
In conjunction with KidsFirst Foundation, we have grant funds available for the adoption of children with special needs or circumstances. This includes children whose only special circumstance is that they are 5 years of age or older. It may also include needs which are fairly easily treated in the United States.
Special Needs Children from China can be Adopted In a Much Shorter Time
China categorizes many children as special needs children and posts updated lists monthly of the children available through this program. The special needs include cleft palate, for which surgeries often have already been performed, and treatable heart conditions. Families matched with special needs children in China can often complete adoptions in less than a year and the children thrive with good families here. GRANT FUNDS MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR THESE CHILDREN.
Kazakhstan Adoptions
As of September 27, 2008, KidsFirst has been approved by the Kazakhstan Embassy to do adoptions in Kazakhstan.
KidsFirst Receives Hague Accreditation
We are pleased to announce that we have received Hague Accreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA). This accreditation will allow us to assist families who would like to adopt from countries that have also adopted the Hague Convention.
