When they told us that they lost their accreditation and we would have to start from scratch with another agency we didn't know where to turn.  “KidsFirst is an answered prayer. Inna and Steve Pecar, Brittney, Sarah and now Sarah Minges are all so easy to work with. They are friendly, intelligent, and tender with your emotions while you wait for your child, organized, responsive and are so happy to help you in any way they can.
Inna is so well connected. With speaking multiple languages, having good intuition and people skills she makes the many logistics run smoothly, while also really keeping a sense of what your desires may be as far as country or sex of the child. Everyone who meets Inna can say that she lights up a room. She brings joy to the many lives she touches.
KidsFirst gives so many recourses to those who want them, (i.e. travel meetings).
They were able to meet you with realistic goals and timelines for what might be possible, but also encouraged and communicated with you when it may take longer than what they had hoped. They work so hard to find the perfect child for YOUR family.

 “How do you properly thank the people involved with helping you find your child and bringing her home? The journey is an amazing experience of faith and hope... and Inna understands this and is very compassionate. Everyone at KidsFirst is great at what they do because it is a mission of the heart, which becomes clear as you work with Inna, Steve and their associates. Inna and Steve are well connected in Guatemala and are very particular about whom they work with -- that became extremely evident when we were in Guatemala and observing and talking to other couples (going through the adoption process) -- we had received superior service. The preparation for and the appointment at the Embassy went very smooth - no surprises. We believe this is an outcome of Inna's colleagues' knowledge - working through every detail in an expedient manner.

 “I cannot imagine having found a better adoption experience--or child!--for me. It took me seven years to discern that adoption was the right choice, and it took about four hours to find Inna and KidsFirst over the Internet. From the first phone call, I knew she was going to find my daughter. And four months later, I went to get Louisa from Petropavlosk, Kazakshtan.  "After researching several agencies, we decided to have KidsFirst be our placement agency. It was the best decision we ever made. Professional, knowledgeable, competent, expedient, are the qualities you look for in an agency. But, Inna Pecar and her team were more than that. Warm, caring, patient, available 24/7, and willing to go the extra mile are qualities you expect from family members, and this is what we came to experience with KidsFirst.
We adopted two 6 month old infants, boy and girl, from 2 different orphanages (BH#2 and #4) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in April 2002. After we accepted the referrals of our children, we were informed by the coordinators in country that adopting from 2 orphanages may not be possible. However, Inna said she would make it happen, and she did.
And while we were in Almaty, the INS office in Chicago had cabled the US embassy in Moscow that we were approved for only 1 adoption, when in fact we were approved for two. With the assistance of another adoptive family in Chicago, she was able to have our representative's office contact INS to resolve the error, on a Friday afternoon. We would have had to stay in Moscow another 10 days if not for their intervention (May 1st is a national holiday for 2 weeks).
And, finally, our son was very ill with a fever of 104.3 while we were in Moscow, on a Sunday night. We contacted her long distance to help us coordinate a possible admission to a hospital in Moscow. It was quite frightening to have an ill child in a foreign city, and I'm a nurse! Thankfully, we were traveling with another adoptive couple, both physicians, who were so generous with their expertise and kindness. They will remain dear to our hearts always.
What a whirlwind experience our adoption journey was, and we were grateful to have KidsFirst make it happen!"

 “We were very happy with KidsFirst Adoption! Everything went like clockwork from beginning to end, was very well organized, and done in such a timely manner. We had all the proper paperwork and extra copies, there were no problems at all and we always got answers to any questions we had along the way. We also felt that we were properly prepared every step of the way and for the future with our new little girl. We were taken care of very well while in Russia by the overseas coordinators. They took care of everything that needed to be done, helped us greatly, and were always on time or early to get us places we needed to be. Both my husband and I are very happy that we worked through KidsFirst; things could not have gone any better. Svetlana came home in January 2004 and is the baby sister of her 5 siblings now.”
